Vermont’s First Ever WINTERPRIDE Festival • January 13-17 Vermont’s first-ever WinterPride 2010 Festival celebrates and promotes Vermont’s queer community. Beginning January 13th, 2010, WinterPride will consist of several events, including Proud Women Play Music, Guerilla Queer Bar, WinterPride Family Putt at Pizza Putt, the fourth Burly Bear Beer Blast, a movie night at RU12 Community Center, the January Thaw Beach Party at Higher Ground, and Funhouse at One-half Lounge. Below is a list of the events described above:

WinterPride 2010 Presents: Proud Women Play Music Celebrate Vermont's First Ever WINTERPRIDE! WinterPride 2010 kicks off with an incredible night of music by local female artists. Performers include Antara & Rachael Erickson Rice, Alyx Lyons and more!

WinterPride 2010 Presents: Guerrilla Queer Bar Guerrilla Bar is back! Come celebrate WINTERPRIDE and have a cocktail at one of Burlington's finest friendly establishments. The location will be announced on Facebook and on PrideVT.com on the morning of Jan. 14th. Donations will be accepted at the bar & 100% of all proceeds will benefit Pride Vermont.

Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 9:00pm – Midnight Location: TBA on Pride Vermont’s Facebook page and pridevt.com on the morning of January 14th.

WinterPride 2010 Presents: Movie Night at RU12 Friday, January 15 @ 7pm Stop by for movies and popcorn.

WinterPride 2010 Presents: Burly Bear Hawaiian Beach Beer Blast Time to warm up, guys! Come celebrate WINTERPRIDE with other sexy, beefy guys. Last July's beer blast was a huge success, with more than 170 guys in attendance.

We’ll make Red Square the HOTTEST spot in town. Bring your lei and your Hawaiian shirt. Well have the usual shenanigans, contests, prizes, beer specials and pizza. Hosted by Chris and David with music by DJ Papi Javi.

This event is also a warmup for the January Thaw Beach Party @ Higher Ground—after some lubrication, safely head down and shake your thang with djs Alan Perry, cRAIG mITCHELL, body art by The Human Canvas, Celeste Larue & Fonda LaCox...

Higher Ground is donating 35% of all door proceeds to Pride Vermont for the first 250 through the door, and 50% of all door proceeds after 250 people.

Higher Ground and WinterPride 2010 Present: January Thaw Beach Party WinterPride Ball Higher Ground presents the 4th Annual January Thaw Beach Party.

DJ Alan Perry will provide sizzling house and dance music, with DJ Craig Mitchell adding his unique style and flavor to the mix. Along with the great music, The Human Canvas will be in the house to entertain you with body art and a fashion show. And of course, Celeste LaRue and Fonda LaCox will grace the stage with their special touch of flair and style.
